Harry W. Kemerly, Jr., 85
Harry W. Kemerly Jr, 85, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, August 14th, 2008 at the N H C Health Care Nursing Home in Springfield TN. Born in Witmer PA, he was the son of the late Harry W. Sr. and Elizabeth (Link) Kemerly. He was the husband of the late Josephine ( Brocco) Kemerly who passed away December 23rd, 1981.
Mr. Kemerly was employed by Alumax Aluminum Corp. in the Machine Maintenance Dept. where he retired in 1985 after 17 years. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII, 82nd Air Borne Div, European Campaign, D-Day Normandy Veteran. Harry was a member of the American Legion Post # 34, Veteran of Foreign War Post # 7418- P.J. Bair Post, Gap, PA, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 596 Elizabethtown PA, Free and Accepted Masonic Lodge # 476 Lancaster and Christ Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his two daughters, Carol J., married to Dennis Palmer of Greenbrier TN and Janet A., married to Gary Eck of Raleigh N.C, two granddaughters, Lisa Oldrock, married to George Oldrock, of Nashville TN, Cristina Eck of Raleigh N.C and one grandson Jason Eck who is serving in the U.S. Navy in Japan. He is also survived by two great grandsons, Georgie and Sean Oldrock
Services will be held on Wednesday August 20th, 2008 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc 414 East King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602 at 10AM with Retired Pastor Charles H. Lisse officiating.
