Harold L. Boynes, Sr., 67

Harold L. Boynes, Sr., 67, of Lancaster, went home to be with The Lord on February 15, 2017. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late James and Viola Boynes (Hart). Harold was the husband of 48 years to Patricia A. Boynes (Gray).
Harold was a champion wrestler and 1967 graduate of Solanco High School. He worked at Lancaster Malleable Casting Co for over 35 years and Buck Iron for 10 years. He loved music and automobiles.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Patricia, is his daughter, Pamela Byrd, wife of Bryant Byrd; son, Harold L. Boynes, Jr.; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Letitia Gray; 2 brothers: Joseph Boynes, husband of Beverly (Johnson) and Harvey Boynes; and a nephew, Keith Dunson, husband of Tina Dunson (Johnson); and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Home Going Services will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 11 AM at Bright Side Baptist Church, 515 Hershey Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603. A viewing will be held from 10-11 AM at the church. Interment will be at Mount Sinai UAMC Cemetery, Peach Bottom, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brightside Baptist Church.

Mr. Boynes may have been by far the most patient customer i’ve had in my line of work as a bank teller. We will miss you here at the branch, you are in all of our thoughts. And personally, thank you for being a customer i looked forward to serving and working with. God bless you sir.
