My deepest sympathies on the loss of your father and grandfather. Bark was my boss for a number of years at The Tribune-Democrat. Great boss, wonderful friend and all around fantastic guy. May he rest in peace. –

Hi, you all have my sympathy.  Your Dad was a good friend to me when you were in Johnstown.  I recently viewed some old videos from our days at Grove Ave.  Of course there were several from the Bell Choir with your Mother, Deb and Julie.  Dan, I have several with you singing.  It was a thrill to hear you sing again.
One was when you sang the National Anthem at the Point Stadium.
My best to you all.

Debbie, Dan, Julie, and John and families,
I have such fond memories of Uncle Harold and spending time at his Rean Street home. He will always be remembered as one of the kindest souls I had the pleasure to know! You have my deepest sympathies.

Dear Dan,
I am sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I will keep you in my prayers as you go through this difficult time of adjustment. God Bless you!
Robin (Gilbert) Hamilton

Harold was such a fine man — so thoughtful about his family — and a conscientious worker at The Tribune-Democrat. It still bothers me that he and others were not well-treated by the new ownership, but life’s like that. My sympathy goes out to all of you.

Dear Dan,

I’m so very sorry to hear about your dad.  I have such fun memories of all the great things he helped us do back in High School.  Back then, I thought he had the coolest job in the world, and I’ll never forget how he got us backstage at concerts, took us to Pittsburgh, and the whole way to Nashville.  It seemed like he was always kind and willing to try anything.  I’ll be praying for all of you.

I worked with Harold at the Johnstown Tribune-Democrat for a long time. He was a good friend and a capable and likeable co-worker.  —
