H. Robert “Bob” Russell, 80
December 23, 2013
H. Robert “Bob” Russell of East Petersburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday morning, December 23, 2013 at the age of 80. He was the son of Howard and Bernice Russell of Endicott and graduated from Union-Endicott High School in 1951. Like his father, who owned the Russell Cab Company for many years, Bob went into business for himself. He was a barber in Vestal and Endwell in the sixties and early seventies before moving to Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1972 to operate his Roto-Rooter franchise with his son Richard for the next thirty years. His death comes less than a year after that of his mother, who passed away shortly after her 100th birthday in January, and just more than a year after that of his wife, Jane, who passed away in February 2012.
Besides his son Richard and partner Cindy Hoffman, Bob is survived by his son Craig and wife April, his grandson, Ryan Russell, his sisters, Mary Ann and Patricia, and her husband Bob Suhr.
Services will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, followed by burial at East Petersburg Mennonite Church on Main Street in East Petersburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Bob Russells’ family,
Rose and I were saddened to read that Bob had died. Bob was a great friend from high school. We had many adventures together. We also had disagreements about cars, he was a Chevy guy and I was a Ford guy. We especially enjoyed his last visit, here in Vestal, with us several months ago. We extend our deepest sympathy and will always cherish our memories of Bob.
Sincerely Bob and Rose Fairbrother
