Gregory P. Martin, 53

Gregory P. Martin, 53, of Lancaster, died of lung cancer Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Essa Flory Hospice Center.  Born in Lancaster on June 22, 1954, Greg was a son of the late Georgia B. and Joseph S. Martin.

He attended Hempfield High School and was pursuing a degree at Harrisburg Area Community College until the onset of his illness. 

A long-time employee of Goldbach’s Floral Shop in Lancaster, a family-owned business for many generations, Greg was most recently a full-time caretaker for his mother after she sold the shop and retired.  Greg was an electronics, music, and antiques enthusiast, and enjoyed visiting swap shows and music festivals.  An avid reader, he was very interested in current events and science. 

Greg is survived by one sister, Tina M. Martin, Bethesda, MD, and three brothers, Andrew P. Martin, Lititz, PA; Brian D. Martin, Lancaster, PA; and Stephen J. Martin, Lancaster, PA. His mother and a brother, Christopher G. Martin, preceded him in death.

Interment will be private.
