Gregory Jackson, 74

Gregory “Greg” Jackson, 74, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at his residence.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Mary J. Jackson. He was married for 15 years to his wife, Yvette Jackson.
Greg was an intelligent man, always eager to learn new things. His family praised him for his wealth of knowledge that always amazed them. Greg influenced and touched the lives of many. He loved learning about a variety of things, especially land and sea animals as well as the universe. He enjoyed being active playing racquetball and loved to play board games including chess. Sci-fi movies were his favorite, especially Star Trek and Marvel. Gadgets and “whatchamacallits” were his go to, always enjoying the new technology. Greg had a love for music and in his early ages was a member of a Soul Music group. His favorite genre of music was jazz and Motown. His greatest passion was being a ministerial servant and he was an avid Bible reader.
Greg is survived by his wife, Yvette; daughters, Nyree (Gary) Cooper, of Plainfield, NJ, Shaunté (Marcos Ramirez) DePaso, of Manheim, PA, Hilary DePaso, of Peachtree Corners, GA, Ashley (Bruce Geter-Richards) DePaso, of Duluth, GA, and Deanna (Mark) Newman, of Marietta, PA; nine grandchildren, Rameair Cooper, Kiere Cooper, Kiara Cooper, Kalina Coleman, Jonzel Morant, Ruby Howard, Amauri Ramirez, Jayanna Morant, Jacari Morant; and one great-grandchild, Cassius Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and three siblings, Lynetta, Paul, and Beatrice Jackson.

Greg was always ready to help, anyone who needed help. He fixed my Roku twice. And he was very patient with my phone calls. He was a caring sincere pioneer. And I look forward to seeing him very soon.
Yvette his devoted wife has been by his side through many difficulties. She has always been a great support for Greg. I look forward to seeing him soon.
