Gordon J Johnson Sr., 65

Gordon J Johnson Sr. ,65 of Lititz born on Jan 5, 1955, he was the son of the late Howard Johnson & Ruth (Massey) Johnson. He was entered into rest after a brief battle with Metastatic Melanoma on Dec 8th 2020.

He was the husband of Cindy (Shreiner) Johnson with whom he shared 26 years of marriage with. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grand & great-grand father & uncle ; whom loved spending time with his family & making everyone laugh.

He was a diesel mechanic & a member of the #447 union at Acme in Denver until 2018. He enjoyed hunting & fishing with his children & grand-children. He also enjoyed racing Micro Midgets at Lanco Speedway, working on & fixing all typed of vehicles. He was a “Jack of all trades”. He loved riding motorcycle & loved classic muscle cars.

In addition to his wife Cindy (Shreiner) Johnson he is survived by their 2 children; A daughter Jamie Johnson of Columbia formally of Lititz, her 2 sons Dakota & Anthony Johnson-Ortiz & Great-grand daughter Jaylyn. A son Gordon Johnson Jr. husband of Jaqueline (Wiggins) Johnson, their 5 children Jordynn, Savannah, Justin, Shaun Wiggins & Jaxson Johnson.

A step-daughter Sandra Wiggins & her 4 sons, Nathan, Nicholas, Jordon & Dante & 4 great-grand children all of Tennessee formally of Lancaster Co.

A brother Mark Johnson husband of Jane. 4 nieces & 1 nephew.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers Karl Johnson & David Johnson.

He will be greatly missed & loved by all & is gone way to soon.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Just heard of Gordy passing, I have so many wonderful memories of him and of course the whole family. He was a hard worker and a kind man.R.I.P. Gordy.James Varner.

I am so sad to hear of Gordy’s passing. He has been a great family friend forever. I have many fond memories of Gordy when we were racing at Linda’s Speedway. He sure is a character, lots of fun times. God Bless you and your family my friend.

Another Johnson gone too soon. He will be missed by his cousins in Berks County Pa. Bill, Stanley, Barb and Brian. Rest in peace Gordy. Love your cousins.
