Gordon E. Graman, 74

Gordon E. Graman, 74, of Lititz, formerly of Long Branch, NJ passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at his home. Born in Long Branch, NJ he was the son of the late Elwood Gordon Graman and the late Florence May (Gorman) Graman. He celebrated 13 wonderful years together with his wife, Terry Ligotti.

Gordon was a graduate of Verona High School in Verona, NJ and went onto become a shipping clerk for Fluid Conditioning Products in Lititz and retired after 40 years of service.

He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps.

Gordon was a practical joker, hard worker and loved his craftwork including knitting and crocheting.

In addition to Terry,  he is survived by his daughters, Antoinette “Ann” Levine, of Deposit, NY, Louise Ligotti Champion, wife of Larry Champion of Port Crane, NY and Michele Ligotti McKee, also known as “Bugs”, wife of Dave McKee, of Deposit, NY. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A Viewing will be from 6-8PM on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gordon’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603. Thank you Bev for the true obit for my brother.  I did get  to speak with him before he passed however my sister Gloria Sorge did not! Gordy had many nieces and nephews and loved all of them dearly. He is missed by all his family.

To Gordy’s family – please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss.  Gordy was a Verona guy and loved by so many.  I am concerned that there was no mention of his predeceased children, Gordy and Dana as well as his sisters, Gale Rosenthal and Gloria Sorge.   Gordon E. Graman passed away on April 23, 2013 at his home in Lititz, Pa.  Born in Long Branch, NJ he moved to Verona, NJ and grew up there. He was pre deceased by his parents Elwood Gordon Graman and Florence (Goman) Graman Olin. He was also predeceased by his former wife Ann Zigler Graman and his two children Gordy and Dana.  

 He attended Our Lady of the Lake School class of 1952 and went on to graduate at Verona High School in 1956. While at VHS, Gordy was a star on the 1955 State Championship Baseball and Football teams and was co-captain on the 1956 Baseball team. He was also a member of the "Laker" Group and was the ultimate Laker.  After graduating he proudly joined the United States Marine Corp. and served his country for three years.  He recently retired after 40 years from the Fluid Filter Company. 

 He leaves two sisters, Gale Rosenthal and Gloria Sorge as well as nieces and nephews and many good friends.
