Goldie Allison, 101, of Lancaster went to be with her lord on Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Cora Dyer Meister. Goldie was the wife of the late Charles B. Allison, who died in 1981. A homemaker, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lancaster.
Surviving are four children: Jean Yellets of East Petersburg, Robert Allison of Lancaster, Edward husband of Donna Allison of Manheim, Betty wife of Bernie Heisey of Mount Joy, nineteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, twenty-one great great grandchildren, and one great great great grandchild. Goldie was preceded in death by two sons; Charles Allison Jr, Raymond Allison, and a daughter, Helen Allison, one grandson and one great grandson.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 2:30PM. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday night from 7-9:00PM and on Thursday afternoon from 1:30-2:30 PM. Flowers will be received or contributions may be made in Goldie’s memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, P O Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
