Gladys Myers, 70

Gladys Myers, 70, of Lancaster, passed away on March 31, 2021 at home. Born in Manning, SC she was the daughter of the late Tina (Johnson) and Cunningham Burroughs.
Gladys was a member of the Church of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Gladys was employed by Dart Container for over 20 years prior to her retirement. She was a wonderful cook and known for her sweet potato pie. Gladys was spunky and outgoing. Her family and friends could count on her to give advice and call and sing Happy Birthday to them each year. Most of all, Gladys cherished time spent with her family. Her outgoing personality and golden heart will be missed by all who knew her.
Gladys is survived by her daughter Deborah Montgomery wife of Perry of Manning, SC; her grandchildren: Shaneeta Martin (Larry Capers) of High Pointe, NC, Parrish Montgomery of Columbia, SC and Shauntavia Montgomery of Manning, SC; her 6 great-grandchildren: Shanyra Wilson, Calvin Jennings, Christian Richburg, Cantrell Caldwell, Carter Caldwell and Janiya Spencer; her sisters: Gracie James of Manning, SC and Mary Richburg of Baltimore, MD; a special nephew Elpea White; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Joe Johnson and Rosetta Nelson.
A Home Going Service will take place at 11AM on Tuesday April 6, 2021 from the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc. 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA 17602. Friends and family will be received from 10AM until the time of service. Interment will be private.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her roommate and caregiver, Dianna Gatlin.
