Gerard S. Raccuglia, 83
Gerard S. Raccuglia, 83, of Willow Street, passed away at his home on May 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Stefano and Rose (Cucina) Raccuglia. He was the devoted husband of Geraldine (Simms) Raccuglia.
He was a devoted family man that enjoyed cruises and trips to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Puerto Rico. His family will fondly remember his natural woodworking talents through the many pieces he created for them over the years including dollhouses and furniture, a cradle for his daughter’s dolls and small cradles for her friends. He had a knack for fixing things and was always there to lend a helping hand. He also enjoyed tending to his flower and vegetable garden.
He will be sorely missed by his loving wife, their daughter Roseanne Lau, wife of Michael of Brooklyn, and daughter-in-law Christy Raccuglia of Willow Street, grandchildren, Michael Raccuglia, husband of Amber of Enola, and Danielle, wife of Nate Toms of Millersville, and Hannah Lau, as well as great grandchildren, Sam and Stella, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his parents, a son, Steven Raccuglia, and siblings, Madeline, Phillip, John, and Rosalie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 28, 2024, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603. The family will receive guests from 10:30 AM until Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, or American Diabetes Association.

Dear Christy and family,
I have not known many people who cared for their in-laws with such caring and devotion. If I have the opportunity to do so someday, I hope I will have the love, patience, and compassion you do.
May God comfort you all,
Stu Metzler

My sincerest and deepest condolences, We’ve missed you for a while in Brooklyn, a lot of the neighbors still talk about how He would put up the best decorations on the front porch for every single Holiday, I still eat the figs that he planted and cared for. They are still there, all these years, May he rest in peace!!!
