Geraldine “Jerry” L. Ebersole, 85

Geraldine “Jerry” L. Ebersole, 85, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, February 20th at home surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Dale E. Ebersole with whom she shared 48 years of marriage, until his passing in 2000.
Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Arnold) Hunt.
Jerry was a graduate of McCaskey High School class of 1952 and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lancaster. A loving wife, mother and grandmother she was devoted to her family and raising her children. It wasn’t until her children were grown that she re-entered the workforce. She was employed by Hamilton Watch and later C & D Batteries where she would retire from after 38 years.
After retirement, she found joy in being surrounded by her family. Jerry also enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, collecting marbles and feeding her squirrels.
She is survived by her children two: Dale Ebersole, Jr. and his wife, Cecilia, Debra Welsh and her husband, Daniel; sister, Roberta Troy; five grandchildren: Daniel Joseph Welsh, Katie Christian, Michael Ebersole, Jesse Ebersole, Leah Ebersole and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by five siblings; Sam, Bill and Paul Hunt, Marie Smith and Dorothy Kissinger.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 26 at 11:00 am at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster. The family will receive guests from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster.

We have so many memories of Nanny. She loved to cook, We will always remember her bacon wrapped filling balls around the holidays. Antique shopping in the mountains, we had so much fun. We will never forget her. Love , Barry and Tina Long
