Dear Thomas, Debbie, Laura, Kenneth and Julie,
We will always remember the fun times our families shared together at Knoeble’s Grove staying with Butsy and Teresa’s at their cottage.  The friendship shared between our parents was so special.  Every Easter I could always count on receiving a phone call from Gerry asking, “Who ate the rabbit ears?”  Now she and dad can solve the “Rabbit Ear Mystery!”  May your family find comfort and peace from all your family and friends in this time of sorrow.  With deepest sympathy, Barb and Keith Hoffman

Dear Kenneth, Thomas, & families,
Please accept my sympathy on the passing of your mom.  My mom always enjoyed receiving Gerry’s letters.  I have fond memories of a long time ago, when us kids used to play while the adults played cards!  Please let us know when her funeral mass will be held in the spring.  Mom sends her condolences as well – she will miss her letters, even though both of them had difficulty writing, and reading each others’ letters.
With deepest sympathy,
Debbie (Petters) Anspach & Jean Petters

Dear Thomas, Deb, Ken & Julie, I’m so sad to have received your letter about the passing of Gerry.  I had just replied to her recent letter, dated Dec. 20th, so I’m sure she didn’t get to read it, however, I’m blessed that we were pen pals.  Your sweet mother was my mother’s best friend (Shirley) from Shamokin & your mother was my guiding light when I lost my mother in August of 1989.  I was thankful that I was living in the Lancaster area at that time, & we would often chat or go to lunch.  To this day, I carry a poem in my wallet that your mother gave me when my mother had passed in 1985 (it still remains a comfort to me).  My mother & father would often visit your parents & after my dad passed in 1985, your mother kept in close contact with us.  They certainly had great memories from Shamokin & enjoyed reminiscing.  Your mother loved her sons & she was so proud of her family.  May you find peace & comfort….hang onto your many fond memories.  With sympathy, Phyllis “Tarasi” Recchiuti, West Chester, PA

Gerry and Art were “family” to the Centini family for 60+ years.  Enjoyed much time spent w her – in later years visiting Glenn Dr, going to Oregon Dairy for lunches, to the Gap to “visit” dad w flowers, phone calls, mail, etc.  She was so proud of all if you. She will be greatly missed!!!

Dear Kenneth, Thomas, Debbie, Julie and Laura,
Remembering your mother with warmth. Her sense of humor and wit were a delight. She and Art were such good friends to my parents, Joe/Raymie and Jane Centini. I remember fondly their monthly Saturday night get togethers with Snooky and Gil Child’s and Carl Yecker while the kids raced around in the basement. Many New Years Eves were spent on Glemnoore Drive with Theresa and Butsy and all sorts of wonderful appetizers and cookies. My dad and your mom exchanged the same birthday card back and forth “being thrifty” and always bringing a laugh.
As the various members of that crew passed on, the remainder continued to support, encourage and lift the rest, until there was just Gerry who continued the tradition, reaching out to the next generation.  I believe God has welcomed her home saying, “Well done good and faithful servant”.  God Bless you all.

Dear Thomas, Debbie, Laura, Kenneth and Julie,
Your mother was a caring, cheerful, wonderful lady.  My parents had so many good times with her and enjoyed her funny cards filled with nostalgic photos of each other.  Thank God for the blessing of Gerry; who was an inspiration to all who knew and met her.  May His peace and grace be with your families.  With sympathy, Juliann Wesloskie and John Gutschmidt

I loved your Mom! I had the pleasure of working with her in the Lancaster County Public Defenders Office. She always took the time to greet anyone who walk into the office and made everyone feel important. I no longer live in Lancaster but had tried to locate her several years ago. Thinking of Gerry makes me smile. What a warm kind hearted person. My  sympathy & prayers to you and your family.

Dear Thomas, Debbie, Laura, Kenneth, & Julie,
Your beautiful & fun loving Mother will be greatly missed. We appreciated the friendship she kept with our parents, especially with my Mom, Ann Marie, after our Dad died. She was our “Sunshine”, leaving cheery messages on our home phone & sending funny cards! We are so sorry we didn’t make a TX visit to see her.  I’m sure she is enjoying being with your Father, her relatives, & all her many friends in Heaven.
With Sympathy,  Lugene & Mark McCormick
