I WAS SO SADDENED TO LEARN OF THE PASSING OF SUCH A NICE MAN.  A REAL FRIENDLY PERSON I MET 16 YRS AGO WHEN I MOVED INTO THIS NEIGHBORHOOD.  YOU AND YOUR WIFE GREETED US AND WE ESPECIALLY FELT WARM SINCE YOU GUYS WERE FELLOW PISIANS.  ALSO I FELT SAFE THAT YOUR WIFE WAS A NURSE..AND IN CASE OF A BAD PROBLEM I COULD ASK HER WHAT TO DO..AND IM SURE I HAVE ONCE OR TWICE.  YOU GUYS WERE ESPECIALLY NICE TO MY PARENTS WHO LIVED DOWNSTAIRS FROM ME AND I ALSO HAD A CHANCE TO SEE YOUR KIDS GROW AT LEOLA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND THEM RIDING THEIR BIKES ON THE BLOCK.  WE WILL TRULY MISS YOU JERRY.  I KNOW YOU HAD YOUR SHARE OF HEALTH ISSUES AND ALWAYS STOPPED TO TALK TO PEOPLE.  YOUR CHILDREN WERE WELL BEHAVED AND IT WAS SO COMFORTABLE TO LIVE ON THE SAME BLOCK AS YOU AND TO KNOW YOU AS A FAMILY.  MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU ALL AND FEEL FREE TO ASK IF WE CAN HELP WITH ANYTHING.  PRAYERS AND SYMPATHY TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

Dear Christine and family,

Just learned of Jerry’s passing. Very sorry for your loss.  Undoubtably Jerry’s work is done on Earth, his life and even his struggle with cancer, a tribute to God’s glory.  May you find peace in his love as you take up your new cross of living each day without Jerry.   His  memory will live  it your hearts for all to see!    A new path to a special bond with our creator.

Prayers and love,
Cindy Frank, Frankie, AnneMarie, Christopher

Dear Christine,
Have been praying for you that God will give you His peace during this period of sorrow for you and your family.

Lovingly, In Christ,
Winifred Green

I want to first thank the family for letting me spend some time with my cousin Jerry.  The wedding picture I saw on Facebook made it feel like yesterday.  He was a wonderful man, husband, father, cousin, uncle and most of all friend to all.  He will be missed very much.  I also want to thank JERRY for allowing me and my children to finally meet his children, who will hold a special place in my heart.  Family to him was important and I will make sure that we stay in touch so we continue to have wonderful memories to share with him when we see him again.

Love always,
Jodi (Metelski) George.

Dear Chris, Eric, Stephanie, Amy, and Dan,

There’s a song by the Escape Club called "I’ll Be There" that makes me think of Jerry. Do you know it?  In it, the deceased is telling the ones he loves that even though he’s passed on, he is still with them.  The beginning of the song goes like this…

over Mountains
over Trees
over Oceans
over Seas
across the desert
I’ll be there

in a whisper on the wind
on the smile of a new friend
just think of me
And I’ll be there

Don’t be afraid, oh my love
I’ll be watching you from above
And I’d give all the world tonight,
to be with you

We were all extremely blessed to have known and loved Jerry.  He embodied the spirit of Jesus, and that is what will live on for all of us.  We love you.

Love and hugs,
Joe, Barbara, Brandi, Joey, CJ

De and I, and the kids, are with you all at this time…and in the future. It will take a while for everyone to move on in love with life, as Jerry, Dad, husband, brother and friend would have expected of us all. Jerry…but we know that God is good, and He will help that along.

We love you and Jerry…
Steve, Deb, Corey and Courtney Maness

Chris,
This is a very sad going home.  He was so loved by you and your kids, as well as everyone that knew him.  I remember having you both over our house before you left Sayreville when Jerry was relatively young in the Lord.  He was so excited to talk about the Lord that we all went on for hours and lost track of time.  He loved the Lord. He was such a great guy, and I feel so sorry for your loss.  We know that there will be a resurrection, but until then I pray that you and your kids will find comfort in the presence of the Lord, and the condolences of your friends.

Mike Roy

To Chris and Family,
Our deepest sympathy with the loss of your Husband/Dad. Jerry and all of you are very "special" to Joe and I. Always welcoming us into your home. We will miss Jerry very much but will treasure the great times we had with him.

Love to all.

Dear Stephanie and the Tonzola family,

On behalf of the Diamond State Roller Girls, I’d like to extend our deepest sympathies to you on the loss of your father.  While I did not know him personally, he must have been a great man to have raised such a wonderful daughter.  Please know that we all are holding you and your family in our prayers.

In Derby Love,
Axl Rolls, Head Coach and Head Ref
Diamond State Roller Girls (Delaware)

Dear Chris, Steph, Eric, Amy and Dan,

Even though I haven’t seen you guys in awhile, I still feel such a void with Jerry’s passing. I can’t imagine your grief or pain.

I have fond memories of driving up to your warm and welcoming home on Harrison Street. Jerry would put on a pot of coffee and we would sit and talk for hours while the kids played in the yard. Those were the days, weren’t they? Cherish the memories…I will!

xoxo
