George M. Reppert, Sr., 78

George M. Reppert, Sr., 78, of Lancaster passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Hospice and Community Care surrounded by his loving family. Born in Hamburg PA, he was the son of the late George C. and Edith (Hoster) Reppert. He was the loving husband of Helen (Hannah) for over 58 years.
George was a graduate of Hamburg High School. He spent a majority of his working career as a truck driver for APA Transport and after retirement for Central Penn Transport. He loved driving trucks and riding motorcycles with his sons. George was a truck rodeo enthusiast. He was a 5 axle National Champion and won numerous safety awards for his years of accident free driving. His family will miss his thoughtfulness, sense of humor and patient nature.
In addition to his wife, George is survived by his children: George M. Reppert, Jr. of East Petersburg, Colleen Black of Lancaster and Bryan Reppert of Coatesville; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and his brother Kenneth E. Reppert and wife Marilyn of Temple PA.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice and Community Care for the exceptional care that was given to George during his time there.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in George’s memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.

Although we have not met yet, I am the Peter Pan in love with your Sister Annie. This is a difficult time for you, and want to hear it from me, I know how much Annie loves you. I am sorry for your loss. Mr Reppert was always so gracious when visiting our office, West Lancaster Animal Hospital. I remember him fondly.
