Geoffrey S. Gensemer, 64
Geoffrey S. Gensemer, 64, of Lititz, PA, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary “Jean” R. Erisman Gensemer, with whom he celebrated 43 years of marriage this past March 30th. Born in West Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Hazel Heckman Gensemer.
Geoffrey had worked for the Sperry New Holland Company for 27 years. Following this, he was the owner and operator, along with his wife, of the White Swan Hotel in Rothsville for 15 years.
He loved hunting, fishing, and playing golf, but the most important thing in his life was his family. He was also a Phillies fan and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He had served as a volunteer firefighter with the Rothsville Fire Dept. also serving as the past financial secretary.
Geoffrey was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War as a Specialist 5th Class.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons: Michael S. of Reamstown, and Geoffrey E. married to Kelly Gensemer of Stevens, PA; his 4 grandchildren Alex, Austin, Kyley, and Emma Rose, and by his sister, Susan Youndt. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gilbert Gensemer.
Friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at 11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Interment will be private. Dear Jeanne and family~~Ron and I were saddened to read of Geoff’s death. When I think of Geoff, I can hear his unique laugh, funny how that one thing came to my mind, when I read the paper. Find comfort in his memory and strength in those around you.

Jeanne and Family…..Larry and I were very sad when we heard of Geoffs passing, I will fondly remember riding motorcycle with the both of you and the time spent at Mt. Gretna. Larry and I will always remember all the fun times playing golf and our trips to Myrtle Beach. Larry and I are unable to attend Geoffs service due to a prior comittment, however you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
