I met Fred at the Millersville Senior Center. I sat next to him this past year during most activities. We played cards together, ate together and even danced together as I slid him around on the seat of his walker. He would tell me stories every day . I would tell him, you know I’m deaf and I can’t hear you! But he would shrug his shoulders and talk anyway. So anyhow, Fred, when you get to the pearly gate, put a good word in for me. See you soon and love you much. Chris

Although I met Fred only about 6 months ago, in that time, we have become great friends. I very much enjoyed the time we spent together in the senior center playing games, sharing lunch, and talking with one another. I also enjoyed listening to Fred and learning of his trips to Hawaii, his time in the military, his wife Bobbi, and his other lived experiences. Fred had a great sense of humor and an expansive reprotiore of witty jokes to share. His presence will be truly missed at the center. I am happy to have been his friend, even if only for a short time.

I got to meet Fred as we returned to the center after Covid, it was a pleasure helping him to paint items and learn new crafts! We will miss Fred at the Millersville senior center, his laughter and desire to beat us at cards will always remain in our hearts. Rest peacefully Fred, your humor will be forever missed! I am truly sad to learn of Fred’s passing. My father and Fred were friends and both were in the Conestoga Jaycee’s together. So many years ago. I went to kindergarten with his son Craig so I knew him well from being from Conestoga. Fred was always such a nice man and kind to me. He will truly be missed. Now he can be healthy and happy in heaven where eternal life will be full of love and happiness Robert Fry

I am so sorry that I will not see and joke with Fred at the Loft any more. The first time I met him there, I thought I was seeing my dad. That twinkle in his eyes and his sense of humor brought back wonderful memories. You will be missed.

My dad, Bruce, and I adored Fred. He had the kindest heart and the sweetest laugh. His jokes and his humor brightened our day. I will personally miss making him brownies. He loved his chocolate! The Millersville Senior Center will not be the same. May his memory forever be a blessing.
