Frances-Anne Fusco, 46

October 23, 2021

Frances-Anne, 46, passed away suddenly at her Manheim home on Saturday October 23, 2021, leaving behind her two daughters Francesca B. McClure, 19, at Juniata College and Eleanor “Ellie” A McClure, 15, of Manheim Central High School.

She was born March 9th, 1975 in Brooklyn, NY to Cono Francis Fusco and the late Carol-Anne Fusco née Guardino. She spent her formative years living in Brooklyn, NY with her two older sisters and parents until they moved to Long Island in 1982. As a child she enjoyed plenty of pool time, helping dad build the deck and of course helping her beloved grandmother “Memaw” bake when they visited her grandparents in their upstate NY home. Those were some of her fondest childhood memories.

She graduated Lindenhurst High School, Class of 1993, with high academics and worked on the Bill Clinton campaign with her fellow High School Democrats. After High School Frances attended SUNY Farmingdale and got her degree in nursing. In 1996, she moved with her parents and 3 younger siblings to Lancaster, PA, after her father retired from their family business. Here she continued to work in the nursing field until she found her passion in furniture.

She started working at Good’s furniture and learned what went behind the product of your investment. She was passionate about knowing the ins and outs of a particular product and sharing her knowledge with her clients. She had an impeccable eye for design and color coordination. She was also a strong DIYer and met every challenge with an “I can do that!” attitude. She went on to work for more than 20 years for The La-Z-Boy gallery, and lastly Raymore & Flannigan in Reading. She had an eye for wood grain and could identify the species at just a glance.

In 2001 Frances married Marc McClure and they developed a strong bond that evolved into their two beautiful daughters. The marriage was later dissolved, but the two remained steadfast and had a close companionship.

As a mother she learned to make things stretch, as most families do, and have a good time during the family BBQs, birthdays, Fourth of July and her favorite, just like her mother, Halloween. On Halloween all her nieces and nephews would come over for dinner and Trick-or-Treat the Manhiem neighborhood, and insisting that her kids get pumpkins and carve or paint them. She loved the autumnal flowers and festivities and the Manhiem Farm Show, especially the Chicken Corn Soup!

Her family will remember her as being kind, and loving. They remember her strength in personality and in endurance. She was generous and selfless, always reaching out if others needed a helping hand. She was spontaneous, often trying to make the biggest celebration of life as she could. She was also a skilled crochet artists winning 2nd place in the Manhiem Farm Show and making blankets and scarves for the entire family.

She loved her family most of all, especially her two daughters, Francesca and Ellie. Ellie recently shared the happy memory of her mom making eggs in the morning, and embracing her child like giddiness while discussing boys! Ellie said “At the end of the day we knew we loved each other and had each others back.” Francesca talked fondly about the last family trip to New York City during Christmas 2019. “We went and saw Hamilton. She made it all very special. She was always doing stuff like that.”

In addition to her loving companion Marc, Frances is survived by their two children: Francesca and Ellie, her five siblings; Jennifer-Ann, wife of Anthony DeMario, Islip, NY, Paula-Ann, wife of Daniel Petti, Manheim Township, Joseph J. Fusco, husband of Blanca Casco-Fusco, Lancaster, Agnes-Ann Fusco, wife Melanie Hummer, Lancaster, and Carol-Anne P. Fusco, Lancaster; six nieces and nephews; Jasmine, Jayden, Anthony, Cono S., Michael and Giuseppe; and many beloved Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.

Viewings will take place 10-11 with services starting at 11am on Monday November 1st, 2021 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Condolences to the Family

Very upset to learn the passing of fran. She helped me with my furniture at La-Z-Boy about six years ago. I was all nervous about what to pick out and she made me calm and helped me along. Then I found out that she was a fellow New Yorker as I was. She will be missed by many. Condolences to the family

My sweet and loving Franny- The world lost a tender beautiful soul in your passing.  You were so incredible in more ways than I think you even believed.   When I first met you, I knew there was a special spark about you, and I couldn’t wait to get closer to that spark.  You were my friend when I needed you, and I can only hope I was as good to you as you were to me over the last 20+ years.   Your bright eyes and knock out smile drew me to you, and they’ve flashed through my head so much lately.  You taught me how to stand up for and believe in myself.   ” You Can Do It” you would tell me.   The years we spent together in Lancaster will always be my favorite and most fun part of my life. So many nights out dancing, eating chips n salsa, talking about boys,  hula hooping out back and so so many laughs.   When we had children you were absolutely delighted to be a Mother.  I didn’t think your eyes could get any brighter, but they did with your 2 little girls.   They were very lucky to have you for their Mom.
Not many people are as lucky as I was to have a connection with a friend  like you and I had.  I will be forever grateful for all the love, positive energy, joy, and creativity you shared with me on this Earth.  Francesanne Rose Fusco- I love you and will miss you so incredibly much every day.   Please know peace and eternal love.  I’m sending you all my hugs and kisses to Heaven, until we meet again my sweet best friend.  Until then, RIP.
Your dearest- Angela

Franny, you helped raise me as a child, and I have so so many fond memories growing up with you as my big sister. As an adult, I am so happy that our relationship flourished even more. You needed someone to truly love and accept you without judgment and I’m so happy that I could give that to you. You are one of the kindest most loving people I have ever had the opportunity to know and love. You were so many amazing things honestly. You gave absolutely everything you had to your children, you were such an amazing mother. One to be cherished for a lifetime. You were not only an amazing mom, but also an amazing daughter to your parents, who love you unconditionally. I will never forget you, you will be on my mind and in my heart every day until the time I am able to be in your arms again. Thank you for being my best friend, my loving big sister, my wing and my shoulder in life. I promise to properly celebrate your life in every way I can and when ever I can. You deserve all of the love and kind words that you receive, and you also deserve to be remembered with absolute pure love. The world lost a truly kind, loving and big hearted person. I will never forget you or that heart of gold. Until we can meet again, please shine down on me and send me reminders of the beautiful sister that I can no longer be with here on earth. I love you Franny, forever and ever and ever. xoxoxoxoxo
