Florence M. Gerlach, 100

Florence M. Gerlach, 100, of Lebanon, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024. Born in Willow Street, PA, she was the daughter of the late Abram F. Sangrey and Elizabeth (Thatcher) Sangrey. Florence was married, for 67 years, to the late Roy M. Gerlach who passed away in 2012.
She worked at the Hamilton Watch Co., during WWII and then later for J. Walter Miller Co. as a sprinkler sorter until her retirement.
Florence was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. For many years during their retirement, she and her husband volunteered to deliver meals-on-wheels to the homebound people in the Lancaster area.
She is survived by her four children, Wanda, wife of the late Walter Rosser, Sandra, wife of the late Howard Campbell, LuAnn, wife of Robert Campbell, Roy, husband of Jenelle Gerlach: five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and her brother, Jay Sangrey. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Edward Gerlach, a sister Catherine Wagner, and brothers Melvin, Richard, and Leroy Sangrey.
Services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. Family and friends will be received from 10-11AM, funeral service at 11AM with Pastor Dale E. Parmer officiating. The interment will follow at the Pequea Church Cemetery, Lancaster.
The family would like to thank the staff members at Spang Crest Nursing Home, in Lebanon, who gently cared for our mother during these past 2 years. We would also like to thank the Hospice staff who kindly visited with her during this time.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Florence’s memory may be made to Meals on Wheels, 1411 Columbia Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603 or to Christian Aid Ministries, 2412 Division Highway, Ephrata, PA 17522.

Your Mom & Dad were very nice neighbors for many years, we will always remember them. That is great she lived to be 100!
