I had to wait a few days to write this. Fay Kramer was such a huge part of my life that it is hard to fathom that she is gone. She was my urban ed professor (91/92) who took our class to Philly for an extra 3-credit experience in Philly schools. I walked with her from our lodging to the parking garage each morning. Then she was my student teaching supervisor during a placement that went terribly wrong halfway through, but Fay was there to back me up, every step of the way. She even came in to observe me at 7:30 AM after driving to Philly and back to watch her Phils win the World Series. We kept in touch all these years. She came to my wedding (and the weddings of many of her students). She kept my son well-supplied in Phillies t-shirts. She sent cards, cartoons, and news clippings. But most of all, she always, ALWAYS sent humor, encouragement, and pure love. I will miss her, her beautiful home, her dry wit, and 1000 other things that I cannot list here. I hope she and Mr. Kramer are together on that big cruise ship in the sky. Cheers, Mrs. Kramer!

My condolences to the family. I met Fay at an exercise class some years ago in Millersville. She was always so positive and always asking about my grandchildren and everyone in the family. I received a letter when she moved away but never got to talk with her. She will be missed. Special lady, Susie Arnold

Her sincere interest in others made you connect with her instantly . She had a beautiful zest for life …. and for the Phillies ! I will sincerely miss her , and her perfectly straight line written cards in green ink . I always knew the card was from Fay when I saw the green ink ! I feel honored & blessed to have known her & been a part of her life . God Rest Her Soul . Fondly , Dora Miller ( Daymaker Hair Studio)

Faye was a dear friend of my mother (Kitty Glass). I was so sorry to hear of her passing. I have many very fond memories of her at Phillies games, the Millersville Homecoming parades and just visiting at my mother’s pool. She was always very interested in my children’s activities and how they were doing. She helped encourage my oldest daughter when she was taking classes at Millersville to become a teacher in early childhood education. I loved how she and my mother shared many years as friends, and especially the passion of being devoted Phillies fans. She was a very special person. My condolences go out to Bruce and the rest of the family. Sincerely, Sue Loiseau

I was sad to see that Mrs. Kramer passed. She was a great teacher and inspired many students at Penn Manor. I remember 8th grade History and her teaching about Lancaster County history to this day. Please accept my condolences for the whole family. I know that you all know that she was very special.

I had Mrs. Kramer for a history class in 8th grade at Penn Manor. What she taught us about the workings of our government I still retain today. She was an excellent teacher! Phil Holzinger

My condolences to the family of Mrs. Kramer, my favorite high school teacher. I connected again with her at Millersville University. It was only a few years ago when we would regularly bump into each other at the Turkey Hill in Millersville. We were both there to buy the Sunday Inquirer. Mrs. Kramer had not changed much. She was driving a black sporty Mercedes. She seemed ageless. We shared a love of baseball and the Phillies. I am left with many fond memories of Mrs. Kramer.

To the family of Fay~
Fay was a customer of mine for many years. Her arrival always put a big smile on my face! I will always remember her warm and friendly way, her love and support of the Phillies and her love of dogs! I was never short of words when we spoke and am lucky to have known her! Peace and love to you all at this time of loss.

In 1991 I was an adult student at MU, getting ready for my student teaching experience. I met with Mrs. Kramer and explained my hope of being assigned to Hempfield High School as my children were Hempfield students, and I dreamed of being hired by the district. Mrs. Kramer listened carefully and then gave me the only spot available in my subject area in the next fall semester. My one encounter with her set the stage for my successful 27 year career as a Hempfield teacher, and I have always been grateful for her willingness to listen and act accordingly. Kathleen Flynn

Fay was a great person and friend. I knew her for over 45 years, initially as one of my professors at MU and later worked with her on the Millersville Community Parade Committee (for over 20 years). She had a special aura about her, very caring, sincere, humorous, intelligent and so much more. She often used a green ink pen (both in and out of the classroom), loved the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Mummers too!! I will miss her. I was about to send her my annual Halloween birthday card this weekend (her birthdate was 10/31), until I read of her passing. Peace be with you Fay and my condolences to her son Bruce and her other family members. Steven DiGuiseppe
