Eva B. McCracken, 92

November 24, 2024

Eva B. McCracken, age 92, of Lititz entered into her eternal home on November 24, 2024. Born in Smyrna, Eva was the daughter of the late Harry and Lucy Myers.

Eva was an avid reader, finding joy and solace in the pages of countless books. Her faith in Jesus Christ was unwavering; each day began with her cherished Bible in hand, and she found comfort and inspiration through the teachings of her favorite televangelists. Eva reveled in the thrill of casinos and the excitement of playing the lottery, always hoping for that next big win. Equally passionate about the culinary arts, she poured her heart into cooking and baking, making delicious meals. Dining out at restaurants was another of Eva’s delights, as she savored both the food and the company of loved ones.

Eva found tranquility in the simple pleasures of life, enjoying the company of birds and squirrels that visited her yard. Yet, above all, it was her family that brought her the greatest joy.

Eva is survived by her granddaughters: Holly A. Pallan and Melanie L. Metzger; her great grandchildren: Isabella and Lillian Pallan and Ryan Metzger; her sisters: Edna Mae Danz, Alice Fisher and Sarah Landau (wife of William); her son-in-law Steven Metzger (husband of her late daughter Donna J. Metzger) and her beloved cat, Billy Bob.
In addition to her parents Harry and Lucy, and daughter, Donna, Eva is preceded in death by her first husband David Brooks and second husband Jerome McCracken as well as 8 siblings.

In addition to my previous message. My mother (Betty), Eva and Jerry would come for lunch at the Bird-In-Hand restaurant where I was a server and they brought Edna Mae already too with them.

So sorry to hear about Eva. I would always see her at my mother’s place (her sister Betty’s place). She and I would always call each other on our birthdays). I’ll see her again in Heaven. My condolences to all.
