Ethel I. Keller, 95

December 29, 2017

Ethel I. Keller, 95, ascended to the Kingdom of Light in the Heaven of God’s Bounty on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Moravian Manor. She was the wife of the late Donald W. Keller, who winged his flight to the Heavenly Kingdom in 2010. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late William and Maude M. Gallagher Jones.

After working for the Bell Telephone Company for a short time, Ethel became an exemplary homemaker. Her children and grandchildren recognize, appreciate, and celebrate the safe, caring, and loving home environment she created every single day. It is possible that there may be other wives and mothers as good as Ethel, but none better. Ethel was a fabulous cook and creative baker. She enjoyed bridge, golf, aerobics and was an excellent seamstress, creating clothing, curtains and upholstery.
She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church and a former member of Pine Street Presbyterian Church of Harrisburg, where she taught Sunday School.
Ethel is survived by her children: Michael L. married to Georgia Keller living in Manheim, Nancy K. married to James Tichenor living in Philadelphia, and D. Jeffrey married to Sonia Keller living in Florence, South Carolina; her 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Friends are warmly invited to attend Ethel’s Memorial Service on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 10AM in the Chapel at Moravian Manor Retirement Community, 300 W. Lemon St., Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be private in the Highland Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Highland Presbyterian Church, 500 E. Roseville Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601 or Moravian Manor at the above address.
