Esther M. Mann, 89

Esther Marie (Kurtz) Mann, 89, formerly of Kinzers, died Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Arthur Mann, who died in 1997.

She was a homemaker, and had tended market stands in York and Philadelphia.

Esther attended Old Road Mennonite Church, and a member of Tidings of Peace Mennonite Church, York. She volunteered with mission work in Philadelphia, and gave foster care to infants for many years.

Born in Salisbury Township, she was the daughter of the late Jason and Anna (Hershey) Kurtz. Esther is survived by a brother, Willis J. married to Eileen (Siedhof) Kurtz and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Hershey E. and Frank L. Kurtz.

There will be a Celebration of Esther’s Life on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 4:00 PM in Old Road Mennonite Church, 5795 Old Philadelphia Pike, Gap, PA 17527. Richard Buckwalter is officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Traditional interment will take place in the Mount Rose Cemetery, York, at the convenience of the family.
