Esther M. Getz, 87

Esther M. Wolf-Getz, 87, formerly of Lampeter, went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2018, at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. She was the wife of the late Elvin M. Wolf, who died in 1989, and the late Norman E. Getz, who died in 2014.

Esther worked for RCA Corporation in her early years. Later, she operated a Beauty Salon at her home, until retiring.

She was a member of Lampeter United Methodist Church, where she was active with the United Methodist Women.

Esther loved flower gardening, taking walks and going to the beach. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.

Born in Refton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Bleacher) Ragan. She is survived by her children, Judy married to Edwin Herr of New Providence and Robert married to Jennifer Wolf of Millersville; four grandchildren, Jessica, Michele, Brandon and Amanda and four great-grandchildren, Whitney, Nathan, Coltyn and Katelyn and a sister, Sylvia Mummah of Mifflintown.

There will be a Celebration of Esther’s Life at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Lampeter United Methodist Church, corner of Lampeter Road and Book Road, Lampeter, PA with The Reverend Dr. John G. Smith officiating. The family will greet friends from 12 Noon until 1:00PM.
