Dear Rck,
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of yur wife Esther. My brother Jim told me that she suffered from disablities from Charcot-Marie-Tooth and that you were caring for her at home. May God bring comfort to you and yur family and may you adjust to this loss of a dear wife. Her laugh is certainly remembered.
Are you still teachng? We were sorry when we lost you as our doctor. We are at Landis Homes for almost four years. Mary Ellen has had several smaill strokes and has slowly developed some dementis. I was the care giver for the first three years at Landis Homes but about a year ago she had another small stroke, this time in the pons and it was more difficult for me to carefor her. So she has been in heathcare since last August.
With our prayers, Ivan and Mary Ellen

Dear Rick and family, I was so shocked and saddened when I heard the news of Esther’s passing. She and I spent many happy childhood and young adult hours together and we were in each other’s weddings. I can’t even imagine the heartbreak all of you are going through. Please know that I cherish the memories I have of Esther and I know that you do as well. Keeping all of you in my prayers as you navigate the next several days, months, and years. Love, Mary

I am so sorry to hear about Esther’s passing. Of course, my memories of her are from our childhood of growing up together at River Corner Mennonite Church. I fondly remember a birthday party she had with a lot of us girls maybe when she turned 16 at her home (Jacob and Mary’s). My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time.
