Esther Gracia Sanchez 78 of Lancaster, PA. a survivor. Passed away on June 14, 2019
A true warrior. The daughter of Elisa and Ignacio Gracia has joined them in the after life along with her sister Evelyn Gonzalez.
Born in San German Puerto Rico and a native New Yorker. She uprooted to Lancaster Pa in 1976 where she raised her children as a single parent.
She is survived by her 5 children, Daisy, Delia, Denise Sanchez Lopez, Diana, and Julio Sanchez Husband of Damaris Sanchez. 18 grand children and 20 great grand children. Two 4 siblings, Crimilda “Mimin” Gracia, Ignacio” Nicky” Gracia, Sildredo “Freddy” Gracia and Marilyn Gracia.
A homemaker, her pass time was playing bingo, going to the casinos, word finds, and she was an avid sports fan. Go Raptors! She had a passion for helping others and always had words of wisdom for those that needed it.
She was the family Matriarch and will be truly missed by all those that crossed paths with her.
A visitation will be held Tuesday evening, June 18, 2019 from 6 until 8 PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 11 AM at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602. A visitation will take place from 10 until 11 AM at the church.

Tak’ahi (greetings) it is with a very heavy heart that I write here.
I wish only a good journey full of light as Éster goes on her journey to meet with ancestors on the hands of Great Spirit.
May Great Spirit and the beautiful memories of great strong woman for her children and all around her give comfort to family and friends. May her love, kindness, her warmth live always inside each and every single person that had the privilege of knowing this great woman. She will always live in my heart. I don’t forget family and Ester was family as her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, know this.
