Eric A. Sipe, 55

May 01, 2017

Eric A. Sipe, 55, of Brownstown was welcomed into the arms of Jesus and entered his Heavenly home on Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center after a prolonged illness.
He was the husband of Teri S. Dietz Sipe, with whom he shared 29 years of marriage this past October 17th. Born in York, he was the son of Lowell Sipe and Sheila Winand of York.
Eric was a proud graduate of Penn State University earning a degree in Chemical Engineering. He had worked for DME Alliance of Allentown as an engineer and had previously worked for GSK Corporation of Marietta.
A man of strong faith, he attended Hempfield United Methodist Church where he served as a fourth grade Sunday School teacher for over a decade. Throughout the years, Eric volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club in Columbia and the Water Street Rescue Mission.
Eric enjoyed all sports and especially loved to watch and play soccer. Eric was a loving and caring individual who enjoyed doing for others. He was often described as having a heart of gold, and his greatest treasure was his family.
In addition to his wife and parents, Eric is survived by his beloved girls: Hannah C. and Rebekah G. Sipe, his brothers both of York, Lowell married to Robin Sipe and Paul married to Karen Sipe, and by his mother-in-law, Joyce Dietz of York, step-mother Barb Sipe of York and sister-in-law Voni Starner of Exton.
Friends will be received on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 1-3PM at Hempfield United Methodist Church, 3050 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, PA, with the Funeral Service to follow at 3PM. Interment will be in the Prospect Hill Cemetery in York on Monday at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Eric’s memory to the American Heart Assn., 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603 or to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.
