Dear Marge,  I am Rosie Stomach (formerly Lauer)  My husband Fred and I both knew Elvin and I knew you.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughters.  Live in Virginia right now so couldn’t make the funeral.  I was shocked to hear about your loss as I am the same age.  Try to remember all the good memories and that he is with God and not suffering.  Rose and Fred Dombach

Dear Margie, Melanie and Rachel and Elvin’s entire family,
Words alone cannot express our deepest sympathy on Elvin’s passing into Eternal Life. If anyone knew Elvin, they knew him as a dedicated husband and father and was a man of great faith. His deep dedication to St. Philip’s and the people of the parish were a great inspiration to all of those of us who were privileged to have known him. May God grant you His comfort and strength during this time of your sorrow and grief knowing that Elvin rests in the arms of Jesus and Our Blessed Mother.
With our deepest sympathy,
John and Nancy Straw

I grew up on the same block of Coral as the four Hawk kids.  Ciny and I were friends and played together as children.  Elvin was a nice, quiet kid.  We all lost touch as we grew.  I went to Catholic high and they to McCaskey, where Elvin graduated with my husband Bill.  Later in life I worked for a bank downtown and was pleasantly surprised when I went to the Post Office and found Elvin working there.  I enjoyed the times we got to talk at the post office.  Please know I will be thinking of and praying for your family tomorrow.  I am truly sorry for your loss.  In Christ’s love, Linda Weaver Hershey

I’m so sorry for your loss.  I have wonderful memories of Elvin as a Brownie leader.   He and Margie were co leaders even before they had daughters of their own.  Elvin was such a caring and loving man.  The family is in my thoughts and prayers .  Darlene Sellers
