Elizabeth Reid Good, 86
December 28, 2024
Elizabeth Reid Good, age 86, entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savor, Jesus Christ, on December 28, 2024. Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late John and Eunice(Grosjean) Reid.
Betty, as her friends knew her, found joy in simple pleasures such as recognizing the different birds and watching them fly. She loved the seashore, doing crafts, and playing the piano. Blessed with the gift of music, after listening to a song, she could turn around and play it by ear. An avid knitter, she thoughtfully created beautiful pieces to wear for those she loved.
With a passion for sharing the Gospel, Betty was active in youth ministry, dedicating her
time and energy to teach Sunday School, VBS, and Good News Clubs. Over the years she inspired countless children with her instruction, showing a genuine love for the Bible. Her deep faith was a guiding force in her life, and she took every opportunity to spread the love of Jesus through small acts of kindness. Often she would leave pamphlets at restaurants and places of business with Bible verses for comfort and hope.
After the love for her Savior, Elizabeth cherished her family, creating a legacy of love, faith, and devotion with her children and grandchildren. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Elizabeth is survived by her children: Elizabeth (BJ) Papanu, wife of Victor of Surf City, North Carolina, Deborah J. Morgan, wife of Jeff of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Paul R. Good, husband of Judith of Nashville, Tennessee, John S. Good, husband of Mary-Ann of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren: Brittany, Tom (husband of Leah), Justin (husband of Rachel), Brandon (husband of Emily), David, Daniel, Melissa, Abigail (wife of Scott), Grace, Michael, Maxine, Brian, Elizabeth, Jason; five great-grandchildren and one brother, Paul Reid (husband of Maria).
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Good and one brother, David Reid.
A committal service will be held at 1:30 on Saturday Jan 4th indoors at Spacht-Snyder Funeral Home, 127 S. Broad St., Lititz, PA. 17543 followed by interment at Witness Park.
