Elizabeth (Libby) Geyer, 58

June 20, 2018

Elizabeth (Libby) Geyer, 58, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 20 at her home in Lititz after a long and very courageous battle with breast cancer. Libby was born in Chicago, IL, and was the daughter of Jerry Tyler and Elaine Marshall.
She was preceded in death by her father; her stepfather, Leonard Marshall, and her eldest brother, Jerome Tyler. In addition to Jeff, her husband of nearly 35 years, she is survived by her three children: Hannah (married to Ben) Wolfe of Pittsburgh, PA; Philip (married to Brittany) Geyer of Annapolis, MD; and David Geyer of Arlington, VA; her beloved granddaughter, Charlotte Wolfe; her mother Elaine of Placentia, CA; sister, Michelle (married to Billy) Corrigan of Lake Arrowhead, CA; her brother, Vince (married to Nancy) Tyler and their two sons – Austin and Zachary Tyler – of Nashville, TN; and stepmother, Vivian Tyler of Chicago, IL.
Libby was a beautiful and caring wife, mother, grandmother and special friend to so many. Her eyes and smile lit up every room she entered and she had a way of engaging with people that made them feel as if what they were saying was the most important thing in the world. Her children, their spouses, and of course, Charlotte, are her greatest legacy and she was most proud of the “PHD” (Philip-Hannah-David) that she earned while staying home to raise her kids.
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Visitation with the family will begin at 4:30 PM and be followed by the Memorial Service at 6:00 PM. As Libby requested, and in keeping with her spirit, all are requested to wear something bright and cheery as we celebrate her life, far too short but so well lived!
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to support Philip’s mother-in-law, Aracelly Woodall, as she runs the New York City Marathon this November in honor of Libby. All donations will support cancer research through Fred’s Team – Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and can be made directly at http://mskcc.convio.net/site/TR/RunsWalks/FredsTeam?px=4047217&pg=personal&fr_id=3111

Jeff,PHD and Mom
Libby had the most infectious personality. Her vibrant blue eyes always sparkaled and saw into you soul. I met her early on in 2016 at TOA. She so inspired me  with her sharing at craft classes and helping Jen with cooking classes. She was always graciuos.
God Bless her Forever!!!

Dear Jeff,  Hannah,  Philip and David,
Our sincere condolences go out to all of you.  Lisa will truly be missed by so many people whose lives she touched.  I feel truly blessed that I was able to spend a few days with both of you in early December 2017. We had a great visit and memories I will forever cherish.  I am truly sorry we could not make it to the services.  But please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Love you all.

To the Geyer Family,
I was so sad to hear of Libby’s passing! I had the privilege of working with her at CV Middle School (she was my classroom paraeducator) and as everyone has already mentioned she had a glow about her that was, not only great for the special needs students she worked with, but a blessing to the teachers and staff as well! She talked about Jeff and her three kids all the time and as a mommy of three, myself, she gave great advice on how to manage it all! She would bring us lunches and was always willing to share her faith!! That’s what I loved most about her….she was such a bright spot in my life during the time I got to spend with her! I know how hard it is to lose a mom and I will pray for each of you as you try to find your new normal! I am confident that she has a special place in heaven!! Prayers to you all!!

Dear David and family,
Although I only met your mother a couple of times, I am so happy that I got the opportunity.  Knowing what a wonderful and good hearted person David is, has to be a reflection on his parents.  My heartfelt sympathy to your family.
