Elisabeth “Lisa” Wiesner, 90

Elisabeth “Lisa” Wiesner, 90, formerly of New York City died peacefully at Moravian Manor on November 28th, 2014 with loving family at her side.
Lisa loved and cared for her family, spending most of her life as a homemaker. She was of the Lutheran faith. A great baker and cook, she enjoyed sewing, needlework, gardening, dancing, bowling and caring for her pet dogs.
Born in Sekitsch, Yugoslavia Lisa was the daughter of the late Ludwig and Johanna Bieber Stammler.
After multiple relocations during and subsequent to World War II, Lisa, sponsored by family, immigrated to the United States in 1949. Within 2 years she became a United States citizen. Lisa then met her sweetheart, Eric, at a friend’s dinner party. They were blessed with 47 years of marriage.
Lisa is preceded in death by an infant son, an older sister, Veronica Schuhay, a niece, Liane Panasci, and her husband, Eric Paul Wiesner.
She is survived by her daughter, Elisabeth Margaret, wife of Richard Armellino of Lancaster and son, Eric Carl Wiesner, husband of Andrea of Naples, Florida. Also surviving are six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, a niece, Alwine Zarcone of Spring Hill, Florida and a nephew, Erich Schuhay, of Idar Oberstein, Germany.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30PM on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elisabeth’s memory may be made to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Drive, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125 or the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.
