Elinia E. Hurst, 66
Elinia E. Hurst, 66, died Thursday, October 20, 2011 at her Lancaster home. Born in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Carl D., Sr. and Mary Anna Wilson Bays.
She previously worked at the Akron Shoe Factory in Akron and had also been a waitress at The Comet Diner in Lancaster. Elinia was a member of West End Mennonite Fellowship. She loved camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children Ronald R. Hurst of Lancaster and Ulessia L., wife of Martin Barr, of Witmer; 4 grandchildren; and 7 siblings, Joyce Shifflet, Mary Green and Roy, Roger, James, Marshall and Michael Bays. Her son Michael S. Hurst, stepmother Alverta Bays and brother Carl Bays preceded Elinia in death.
Elinia’s family wish to thank the Home Helpers for the loving care they provided during her illness.
The Funeral will be held 11 AM Tuesday, October 25, 2011, with Pastor Jon Byler officiating, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA. Viewings will be held 6-8 PM Monday and 10-11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Entombment in Conestoga Memorial Park.
