Elaine J. Hampilos, 76, of Millersville, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Hamilton Arms. Born in Beloit, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late James and Gladys (Block) Katsaras.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Christ J. Hampilos in 2006.

Elaine was the owner of the former Chris’ Food Market for 31 years (1967-1996) and the owner of Maple Grove Swimming Pool (1977-1986).

She was a longtime member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for over 25 years. She was a former member of the Daughters of Penelope and the Philoptochos Society.

Elaine was an active member of LARC for many years. She enjoyed working on her farm in Millersville and spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren.

Surviving; a daughter, Joann C. Hampilos-Torres, of Millersville, three sons, John C. and Christ, Jr. Hampilos, both of Lancaster, James C. Hampilos, of York, two grandchildren Eleni and Christos Torres of Millersville, a sister, Katherine Parthenios, wife of John, of Rockford, Ill, and many nieces and nephews, both here and in Greece. She was preceded in death by a brother William Katsaras.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 10:30AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church 64 Hershey Ave. Lancaster, PA 17603 with The Rev. Hector Firoglanis officiating. Viewings will be on Tuesday from 6-8PM with a Trisagion Service at 7PM and again on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30AM both at church. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park.
