To Ed’s family, My father and Ed were roomates in nursing care at Mennonite Home for a short while. My father passed away on January 6, 2017. Ed shared with me the fact that he heard my father thanking the lord for his life and all the pleasures he found in it shortly before he passed. It meant so much to me that Ed shared that story with me. I made a pledge that I would visit Ed every week, normally stopping in on Wednesday Evenings. We had some great conversations about life in general. My Wednesday Evenings will now feel a little emptier but I am grateful Ed is now in a much better place, free of pain. Rest in peace my friend. May God be with all of you during this time. Sincerely, Sam Field
