Earl A. Levan, 87

Earl A. Levan, 87, of Slatington, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Palmerton Hospital. Born in N. Whitehall, he was the son of the late Allen J. and Lurene E. (Merkel) Levan. He was happily married to Bernadine E. (Longenberger) Levan for over 63 years.

Earl was employed for most of his life as a truck mechanic for JO Krapf. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling, going to the beach with his family, fishing and visiting Vermont. He enjoyed his daily bowl of ice-cream and loved his banana splits.

In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by his children: Larry Levan (Joette) of Coplay, PA, and Brian Levan (Brenda) of Lehighton, PA; his 6 grandchildren: Julie Lentz (Bill), Jill Levan, Larry Levan, Jr., Todd Shupp, Ashlyn Levan and Beth Kistler; 2 great-grandchildren: Dominick Lentz and Bentley Miller; his 2 brothers: Dale Levan (Shirley) of Allentown, and David Levan (Melissa) of Schnecksville and a sister, Lynn Serfess (Burt), Florida. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his twin brother, Robert Levan.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any charity of your choice.
