Dorothy (Dottie) Brown

Dorothy (Dottie) Brown went to the arms of the Lord on Friday, March 16, 2018. Born in 1925, she lived her entire life in the East Petersburg area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Brown and is survived by her daughter, Bonnie married to Allen Anderson of Clarks Grove, MN and her son, Larry L., of Lancaster. Also surviving are her grandchildren Jill Clary and Scott Anderson and her great grandchildren, Miles and Maggie Clary.

Dottie loved her trips to the shore with her friends and family. Traveling with her daughter and her family were especially enjoyable as were her trips to visit her son when he was in Germany. Always special to her was any time spent with her long time best friend, Nancy Sweigart, whether it was a bus tour, at the shore, shopping or just talking on the phone.

As long as her health allowed, she was an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ, East Petersburg where she was a member of the choir and served on the kitchen committee.

Friends and family are invited to attend Dorothy’s Funeral Service on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11AM at Trinity United Church of Christ, 2340 State Street, East Petersburg, PA 17520 with Pastor Chris Rankin officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:30AM until the start of the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Dottie’s memory to Trinity UCC at the above address.
