Dorothy B Bright, 84

Dorothy B. Bright, 84, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Lancaster General Hospital.  Born in Laureldale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Leona (Kortenhorn) Ilg.  Dorothy was the wife of the late Leon W. Bright who died in 2010.

Dorothy was a practical nurse at the Reading Hospital.  She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years.  She enjoyed fishing, reading, craftwork, and ceramics.  Dorothy was known as the Scrabble Queen because she loved playing games and cards.

Dorothy is survived by a son: Gary D. Bright, husband of Theresa, of Mountville, PA; two daughters: Cheryl Lefever, wife of the late Rev. Kenneth Lefever, of Lancaster, PA and Pamela Goodley, wife of Donald, of Brownstown, PA; and a brother: Richard Ilg.  She was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  Dorothy was preceded in death by two sisters: Clair Hahn and Marguerite Brill; and a brother: Joseph M. Ilg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 East Delp Road, Lancaster, PA 17601 with Rev.
