Dan and family, I was so sorry to see the notice of Dottie’s passing. I’m sure you have shared many wonderful memories together. Dan, I still gratefully remember the day in the summer of ’88 that you took time to talk with my son, Mark, and me about LCHS when we moved from Toronto. It solidified his decision to attend and reintroduced our family to the school, and we now have a grandson attending. Thanks and God bless you and your family.

Dan, We haven’t seen each other since 1972or3 at Hope College.  My husband, Vic Zuraw, was there at a study session.  I am so sorry that your wife, Dottie has died.  I remember her well.  She always had a smile on her face and with 4 little kids!  I myself had 4 little ones and we tried to keep them occupied while you guys studied in the day and night.  I have recently moved into Brethern Village to be close to one son, Mike, who lives in Landisville.  And I opened the paper and I was surprised to see Dottie’s name in the obituaries.  May the memories give you comfort and peace!!!!!!

The Mike Butz family extends our condolences to each and every one of you. Mrs. Fritsch was one of mine and my girls favorite adults at Schaeffer Elementary! She let me know early on about the connection between the Cassidy’s,  Fritsch’s and Butzes; always treating me like the daughter of good friends. She was a very kind and special person, as I’m sure you all know. Thinking of you as you mourn her loss.

Dear Dan and family (and to all the Nicklaus family and Fritsch family) .
On behalf of all the Amelia (Nicklaus) and Gerald Tremmel family, we would like to offer our sincere condolences upon the death of dear Dottie. She was always so sweet and loving and welcoming when any of our clan came into Lancaster. I remember a particularly wonderful dinner she and Dan prepared for us when I brought my mom Amelia in to visit. Hard to believe that probably is about 10 years ago now. Remember swinging on the swing in the backyard with my daughter Kate and her son Ben. She will be sorely missed by us and I’m sure even more so by all your dear family. May God speedily carry her to her Heavenly home and may we someday all rejoice together in heaven. May God keep and comfort you in the meantime and may your loss be sweetened by the love and memories you have for her. Sincerely Paula and Michael Akiya and family (Jess, Kate, Nick. Ben, Matthew and Maddie)
