Donna V. Lentz, 65
Donna V. Lentz, 65, of Lancaster died Tuesday night at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Kathryn Y. Madonna Bartholomew Reiff Bachman of Lancaster and the late Donald A. Bartholomew, who was killed on Iwo Jima during World War II.
Donna worked as a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service for 19 years and retired in 1998. Prior to USPS employment, she worked as a charge nurse at several medical institutions in Lancaster County.
Donna enjoyed reading, cooking, music and writing. She received many awards for her poetry with many published in anthologies as well as several published articles.
She was a 1959 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and graduated in 1972 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church.
Surviving are two sons; Keith Lentz, Donald Lentz, a daughter, Denise M. Lentz, five grandchildren; Angela, Tonya, Brent, Leticia, Alana, eight great grandchildren; Justin, Anthony, Abraham, Jaaden, Isaiah, Janaya, Alize and Alyzah, three brother; Dennis Reiff, Mark Reiff, Brian Reiff, a sister; Colleen Reiff Smith, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, Dori and son Zechariah
Donna was preceded in death by a son, William Lentz Jr, a daughter, Justine Lentz, Enck, and a sister, Eileen P. Reiff Comp
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St Joseph Street, Lancaster, Pa. on Saturday at 11:00AM. Friends may pay their respects to the family from 10-11:00AM at the church. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made in Donna’s memory to St Joseph Catholic Church.
