Condolences to the Family

September 27, 2016

As the saying goes…… I’ve had many acquaintances, but few friends.
Donat was my friend.

George Tullidge

Though I know that passing is part of the Lord’s greater plan, I am saddened to think that any kind of grief or loss could touch your family.

My late father shared with me several times, how he admired your family; Donat, his brother’s and sisters. And that, though he and I were each only children, yours was how he believed a bigger family would be… "strong," "close," "watching-out for one another." He repeated the regards he heard from a generation before and spoke of his memories as a child. I bring that respect to you again today with the hope that you are taking care of one another in the face of such pronounced loss.

My thoughts are most certainly with you, and I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Sincerely,

Sandra Yecker

Dear Sabatine Family,

I am a Eucharistic Minister who met Donat at Lancaster General Hospital. I brought the Eucharist to him many times over the past few years while he was in the hospital. The first time I met him I remember him telling me that his name meant "gift" and his parents gave him that name because he was "their gift". I was so touched by this.

He was the one patient who wrote down my name so he would remember it the next time he saw me. We enjoyed many conversations and prayed devout prayers with one another. I will always remember him.

God bless you,

Suzanne Ganse

My deepest sympathy to you Claire, and to all of your family.

Sincerely,

Kathy Belmonte
