Donald L. Keperling, 91
Donald Lorin Keperling, 91, of the Brethren Village Retirement Community, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2011. Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Lorin R. and Florence K. Keperling. He was the husband of Helen M. Keperling with whom he celebrated 66 years of marriage.
He graduated from McCaskey High School. A Veteran of WWII, he served in the U.S. Navy. He was a life long member of Grace E. C. Church, where he served on the Official Board, was an usher, and was active in Christian Endeavor. As a partner of L.R. Keperling & Sons, he worked as an electrician and appliance serviceman for 50 years. Donald also loved traveling.
In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by a daughter, Donna L. Reed, married to Russell, of East Petersburg, PA; two grandchildren, Michelle Stein and Matthew Reed; two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Alek Stein; and a brother, R. Nelson Keperling, married to Charlotte, of Bausman, PA.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, August 22, 2011 at the Brethren Village Retirement Community Chapel, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17606, with Pastor Mark Tedford officiating.
