Donald G. Haberstroh, 79

Donald G. Haberstroh, 79, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Lancaster General Hospital.  Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Frank A. and Mary Irene (Spiese) Haberstroh.  Don was the husband of Carrie M. (Seibert) Haberstroh with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage. 

Don served in the US Army.  He was an assembler for Federal-Mogul until he retired.  Don enjoyed model trains and fixing lawn mowers.  He loved spending time with his 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Carrie, Don is survived by 4 sons: James L. Haberstroh, husband of Diane of Mountville, Mike Haberstroh of Lancaster, Steven Haberstroh of Leola and Joseph Haberstroh of Lancaster; and 3 siblings: Robert Haberstroh, husband of Dorothy of Mountville, Charlotte Frey of Ironville and Terry Baughman, husband of Kathy of Lititz.

Don is preceded in death by a son, Donald G. Haberstroh, Jr.; and 4 siblings: Francis Haberstroh, Theresa Manley, John Haberstroh and Carl Haberstroh.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 East King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602 with Rev. Carolene Brubaker officiating.  A viewing will be held from 10-11 AM at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Riverview Burial Park.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Community United Methodist Church, 130 Tennyson Drive, Lancaster, PA 17602.  To send the family online condolences, please visit SnyderFuneralHome.com. So sorry for your loss.  I have fond memories of Uncle Hen and when all us kids were little. Back in the good ole days.  I’ll always remember his laugh.  Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
