Ellie & Family,
As a kid of 19, and just starting out in the lighting biz at Penn Lighting, Don was a true mentor and all around good guy, patiently teaching me the rudiments of lighting and dealing with electrical wholesalers. Since my Dad was often upstate mid thru the later part of the week, Don (Mr. Slavin, to be accurate) was a real guiding influence to me, inteminably patient and kindly with his advice.
On behalf of my parents and brothers and sisters, we send our sincere condolences to all the Slavin Family members on the loss of genuinely gentle man.

Not only was Don favored with the looks of a leading man, but more importantly he was the epitome of a family man. He was a true gentleman with a kind and gentle soul.
