Dear "Frankie" and family,

I was your third grade teacher, and a year or so ago, I saw you and your father at the restaurant. I went back there for lunch recently and to possibly see you, but I discovered another restaurant was there. Then I saw the passing of your way-too-young father in the news, making me want to express my sincere sympathy. Please know that I am very sorry for the loss to you and your family. Especially give my condolences to your dear mother, as I remember her when you were my student.

We are so sorry to read about your loss.  We spent many hours and enjoyed the food prepared by Domenico at La Casa Bella.  We sent many of our Bed and Breakfast guests to La Casa Bella and they all enjoyed their time there. We missed him once he closed La Casa Bella and we are thrilled to have memories created by him during our times there.  He was friendly and prepared great tasting food.  It was a pleasure to be in his presence.  Ann & Janis from King’s Cottage Bed & Breakfast

TO THE FAMILY OF DOMENICO,  WE SEND OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO YOU OVER HIS PASSING. WE HAD THE PRIVILEDGE OF MEETING DOMENICO SEVERAL YEARS AGO WHEN HE CAME TO OUR SHOP FOR TRANSMISSION REPAIR. HE WAS ALWAYS HAPPY AND JOKING. EVEN BROUGHT US A BOTTLE OF WINE ONE TIME. HE WOULD ALSO CALL US SOMETIMES AROUND ELEVEN O CLOCK IN THE MORNING AND TELL US TO GET TO HIS PIZZA SHOP, HE WAS MAKING US LUNCH FOR THE GUYS. THAT ALLWAYS MADE FOR A GOOD DAY. HE WOULD CALL AND ASK A CAR QUESTION AND THEN END WITH AN OK, CHOW, BYE, ALLWAYS MADE ME LAUGH. HE WILL BE MISSED BY US AND MANY OTHERS I AM SURE. VERY GLAD TO HAVE MET HIM. FROM ALL OF US AT LANDIS TRANSMISSION, YOU ARE ON OUR MINDS AT THIS TIME

I am very sorry about your loss. Your family is in our prayers. I have experienced the kindness in his heart. May God take care of you during this hard time in life.

Dear Pasqua, Frank, Salvatore and Ignazio, I was on vacation in San Francisco last week and was just reading missed newspapers today when it saddened me to read about your husband’s/father’s death. He was so proud of all of you and I know you will miss him every day of your lives. His pizza was the best! He was a generous and kind man. I send sincere sympathy to each of you as you grieve his loss. Please know that he brightened many days for me with his cheery greetings and pleasant, outgoing personality when we were neighbors on Prince Street (I worked at the Historic Preservation Trust when you operated La Casa Bella Restaurant). I pray for your comfort and peace at this difficult time of your lives. Blessings to each of you, Nancy Haubert
