Dennis Michael Sheraden

October 26, 2023

Dennis Michael Sheraden, age 72, passed away unexpectedly at home on October 26, 2023. Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Frank Houston and Catherin Ann (Ceranic) Sheraden.

Dennis served his country honorably in the United States Air Force for 30 years as a pilot and commander, retiring with the rank of Colonel. His military career brought his family many years of unforgettable memories living in such far-flung locales as Japan and Australia. In addition to his passion for flying, Dennis loved saltwater fishing and cooking. In retirement, Den was an active member and volunteer at Mary Mother of the Church parish. His humble and selfless spirit led him to give generously and his anonymous gifts made a profound impact on others in the community.

Dennis is survived by his son, Adam Sheraden (husband of Lindsay McGaan) of Chicago, IL, and his beloved grandchildren, Theo and Milo. He is also survived by his sister, Ginny Pryor (wife of Howard) of Lancaster, and Adam’s mother, Marie Sheraden of Medford, NJ.

Family will receive friends November 7, 2023 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, PA 17601, from 10am to 11am with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11am. Burial to be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dennis’ memory may be made to Mary Mother of the Church parish for food donations or holidays meals, https://marymotherparish.org/online-giving.
