Dean A. Gregg, 61
November 06, 2025
Dean A. Gregg, 61, passed away on November 6, 2025 at home. Dean was born to the late Ross H. Gregg Sr. and the late Colleen F. (Martin) Gregg right after his twin brother Dale A. Gregg (Lisa). He was preceded in death by his brother Ross H. Gregg Jr. and his sister Mary L. Francis. Dean was married to his wife Amy (McCaskey) for 37 years and was father to Mason, Allyson, Noel and Mitchel (Shannon) and was grandfather to Cooper.
He was employed at USPS for 40 years. He would say “I have so much more to give”. Sharing his knowledge with anyone who needed help. He also shared his knowledge and skills throughout his years in the Boy Scouts of America. In which he was very involved from his youth until his sons went through BSA as the scoutmaster of their troop.
He was an avid hiker and camper, traveling to many places to roam around in the woods. He also coached all of his children in soccer for years. Eventually getting his referee license. In his free time, he loved spending time with his wife and kids. He enjoyed to vacation in Ocean City, MD. His latest pleasure was disc golfing. Throwing with his brother and children. Going out as often as he could. He could strike up a conversation with anyone while trying to put a smile on their face and crack a dad joke. He truly didn’t know a stranger making friends with everyone and anyone.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4PM on Sunday November 30, 2025 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Family and friends will be received from 2PM until the time of service.

To all those connected to Dean,
My heart just broke when I read about Dean’s passing. I have such fond memories of Dean (and Dale) from Wheatland Junior High and McCaskey High School.Though I probably last saw Dean about 13 years ago at a small gathering of high school friends, I can truly say that he was one of my favorite guy friends that I’ve had (along with Dale). From what I’ve read from others, he continued to be a man who cared well for others and influenced them greatly. My deepest condolences to all of the family. May you sense God’s presence as you both grieve and honor Dean.
Hugs and Prayers,
Mary Beth (Henkel) Mackley

I am so terribly sorry to hear that Dean passed. He was the most genuine person I think I have ever met. I met him 20+years ago and our paths would cross every few years in Postal workings. Dean always had a smile, kind words and when he asked how are you, I knew he meant it. He was one of those people that brought a smile to my face every single time I saw him (not always the case in the Postal world). Always willing to help, always responsive and patient. Rest easy Dean you will be missed. Lisa Ryan

May you find some semblance of comfort in knowing that he left a wonderful mark on everyone that ever knew him. Sandy Finn

Dean was the most helpful person I’ve ever met. I thank God he brought Dean into my life, because I’ve leared so much from him. There is and old saying; That God puts people into your life for a reason and somtimes only for a season. During these seasons he was there to help in any way he could and that was absolutely a blessing. We kept in touch through the years since 2010 via e-mail or phone and he will surely be missed. My condolences to the family and I pray God gives you joy when you think upon Dean’s life, 1st Thes. 4: 15-17. My God bless his soul. La Neil Hinton

Amy and family, Dale and family, My condolences go out to all of you on the passing of Dean. Our fathers worked together at the post office and we spent many good times together at the annual Post Office Picnics as youngsters. I graduated with Dean and Dale from McCaskey H.S. in 1982. I would see Dean when I would register my children for Hempfield Soccer Club. He was always in good spirits as we would reminisce about the “old days”. My children would later take tennis lessons with Dale. We always joked that I would see Dean for soccer and Dale for tennis. As a result of their close, family upbringing, Dean and Dale were two of the nicest guys I ever met. His memory and his life will remain in your hearts forever. Sincerely, Sam Field

Dean Gregg (My Friend)
Dean and I met after being hired as AMS Field Support managers on August 28, 2021. We became really good friends not long after we met. We both felt so blessed to be given the opportunity to work as leaders. Being a part of changing the mindset throughout the organization and sharing the importance of AMS. It was great sharing this journey with someone who always saw problems as opportunities to make a difference, make things better in the organization and throughout life in general. You were always positive and vigilant in everything you did. Your patience indeed was a virtue. You wanted to ensure any process you were sharing or teaching to others was clear and concise. That was most important to you.
Often times, Dean and I presented as a team during Mid-year, End-of-year and for Delivery Inspection Team.
My Friend, I’ll never forget you or your ‘Greggisms’: ‘Nuggets of Knowledge’, ‘Incremental Changes’, the ‘5-Rs’ and ‘Ding, Ding, Ding’, just to name a few. You laid a strong foundation with your Atlantic Team. They are a stronger team because of your leadership. Your team truly love you, my friend. You had a heart of gold, always considerate to others and genuinely a great person. The Lord joined us together as Friends forever. Dean, you’ve done an outstanding job with your “dash” (-), shared your life gifts with the masses. You’ve left a permanent mark on the world. Rest in Heaven well Dean, until we meet again. Your Friend always, Sharon Turner-Hall.

Dale & family,
My sincere condolences on the loss of your brother Dean. I remember both of you from McCaskey and particularly that Dean played trumpet in the band. My heart goes out to you all at this time. Amy McLane (Young)

Dean worked for me for the last four years. I have not found a more dedicated, humble, cheerful, and loyal employee. We had several work adventures together, including a crazy tour through Pennsylvania, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island, and White Plains, NY. On “National Meatball Day” we found an Italian Restaurant in Manhatton which served us GIANT meatballs that we couldn’t finish. He was a good friend, and he will be truly missed.
We will always remember his “Greggisms,” including the 5 “R” words: Rest, Relax, Rejuvenate, Reenergize, Refresh, Recharge, Renew, Regain, Reclaim, and Restore. He would encourage the team every weekend to choose which 5 ‘R’ words to concentrate on to find joy and happiness in life. To my dear friend Dean, my “R” word today is Rest in peace. Seth Johnson
