David M. Taylor, Jr., 84

David M. Taylor, Jr., 84 of Lititz departed this life on Friday August 10, 2018, at Lancashire Hall, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, David was the son of the late David Taylor Sr & Aquilla (Kennedy) Taylor. He was the loving husband of Dorothy V. Taylor with whom he shared 32 years of marriage.

After graduating from high school, David honorably served his country as a member of the US Army. David was an entrepreneur, owning his own contracting company called “Taylor’s Remodeling”. He loved his career in construction, and when not working enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching football, fishing on his boat and riding motorcycles. David lived a beautiful life.

In addition to his wife Dorothy, David is survived by his children David Taylor III, Reggie Austin, Damita Love, Mark Woods, Sr., Derrick Williams, Aquilla Taylor, Ruth Talton, wife of Carl Talton, Jr, David Taylor IV, and Joe Taylor. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Taylor; sisters Joan Lawrence, Ruth Moody, Catherine Sutton, and Hortense Ronaldo; and brothers Maxwell Taylor, Joseph Taylor, Jonny Dredd.

Family & Friends are invited to attend David’s Going Home service which will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 20, 2018, at Bright Side Baptist Church, 515 Hershey Avenue, Lancaster, PA, 17603, where a viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
