David A. Pearson III, 76

October 24, 2023

David A. Pearson III, 76, of Lancaster formerly of Belmont, MA passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Born in Lawrence, MA he was the son of the late David A. II and Phyllis (Pye) Pearson. He was the loving husband of Susan (Vinciguerra) Pearson with whom he shared over 23 years of marriage.

He worked as a conductor for Amtrak for over 42 years and has enjoyed retirement living in the Lancaster area.

David was a known animal lover and always had a treat for one upon request. He was a very well-liked man who always was giving candy out and was proudly known as the “candy man.”

David was an avid train collector and enjoyed his time running model trains with his friends. He also enjoyed special trips on the real railroads as well!

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later time.

Condolences to the Family

November 10, 2023

Our deepst condolences to Dave’s friends and family.  Dave was a friend and special customer of our train store in Delaware.  He visited us often and shared his joy of the hobby with everyone.  He always had sweets and treats and we all affectionetly called him the Candy Man.   I will remember him as smart, witty “New Englander” with a grin that was only his.  May he rest in peace. Julie, Pete, Mike

One of our favorite customers at Brubaker Chrysler Jeep. He always had a smile for everyone.

Dave (pipes) was a great guy who loved model railroading as much as real railroading. Susan I’m so sorry, Carl.

I am so sorry to hear of David’s passing. I knew him through a dental office where I worked and he was a long time patient. He always brought us “tootsie rolls” in a dental office, no less! Always came in the office with his engineer hat on, too. I will miss seeing him. My condolences to his family and friends. Becky Hershey Becker
