Dear Mrs. Guimond and family-

I was so very sorry to hear of Mr. Guimond’s passing. I have such very fond memories of spending time with your family when I was a teenager. I remember very vididly Mr. Guimond’s smile and laugh. You couldn’t help but feel good when you were in his presence. I can not fully understand the pain of your loss. I can only pray that you will find comfort in your memories. On the days that seem darkest, please wrap yourselves in a blanket of loving memories. Perhaps that will help to ease your pain . I will hold all of you up to the Lord in prayer. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Love- Diane Newcomer Black

My sympathy to Linda and the entire Guimond Family

Darrel was a tremendous help to me when I was manager of Ridgeway Travel.  In time of need he provided much help and guidance.  I also had the opportunity of working with Darrel with the Lancaster Lions.

Sorry that I lost touch with Darrel.  I hope that he did not suffer

Words can not express the loss of a loved one but rejoice knowing that he was always ready to help any one at any time and no one can forget his contagious smile.   He is already in heaven making beautiful music for all to enjoy

I’m currently in Florida and therefore will not be able to attend the services.  However my prayers for Darrel and you his family.

Dear linda and Family.

So very sorry  for your loss of your husband and Father/Grandfather.
We pray you all find comfort and peace., remembering the good times. And knowing He is now in God’s hands.

Anne and Bob Gilligan

I send my condolences.

Darrel was important to me in our young days in Oakland City. I lived opposite of where Darrel and Gordon lived. I played Cornet because of Darrel, but I did not stay with music. One summer Darrel worked in the service station at HWY 57 ane 64; I helped. After reading Darrel’s books of a Naval Aviator, I aspired to be a USN carrier pilot.

Darrel, my best to you.

Darrel was one of the finest trumpet players, plus gentleman, that I ever had the privilege of working with.

Linda, Mike, Brad, Gordon and all the family,

My love and prayers are with you during this difficult time. My greatest memory of Darrel was his smile. He was always smiling and happy – I can’t speak for the times that him and Gordon were golfing or playing tennis because I was not there but I imagine his smile turned into a large gleam of white teeth when he would beat Gordon.

I pray that time passes quickly away from this moment- time is the best healer. I pray that your memories of Darrel – (Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and of course friend and entertainer) outways the sorry that you feel at this time.

Love, Sam Rogers
