Manfred, I was sorry to read about the loss of your son, Dan – I only remember your sons as small children in Lititz back in the ’70s. Its been a long time since we’ve spoken, but Ill never forget our years together on the force, your incredible physical strength and grit. I was always sorry to see you leave the job. To me you were the epitamy of a real policeman.
Even though I was an odd ball I made sgt in 1973 managed to hang on to retire in 1989. Wishing you well! Fred Wagaman

It is with great sadness I send my condolences to the wimmer family. I can’t believe I am writing my “see you later” note. You were always a fighter until you could no longer fight uncle dan. I have never met anyone stronger than you with a pure heart of gold. I will cherish and hold on to the memories we had. Forever and always in my heart. This is not goodbye, this is see you later. I love you!

As our neighbor and friend, we watched as Daniel bravely struggled through every treatment prescribed for him. Even in times of great pain, He always tried to be upbeat. He was a proud man and strong, right up to the end. We will miss you, friend!

So sorry to hear about your illness and passing. The pain for you is over, but will be in the hearts of those you left behind. I have the fondest memory’s of our friendship as teenage neighbors. I remember swimming in the quarry near our apartments (which we now know was completely unsafe). We had the best times hanging out with friends and being kids. My condolences to your family whom I also remember fondly. Rest In Peace!

Uncle Dan,
You were a great uncle and will be sorely missed. Whenever I had rough times in life you were there to offer advice. I’m glad you had the opportunity to meet Cherrymae. Although you did not meet Henrik, he will still come to know you through our memories. Thank you for being a great Uncle!
Love,
Matt and Cherry
